Clayton was born in New York City, but was mainly raised in Southern California. It was while residing in California, and shortly following her graduation from high school, that her life changed dramatically. In 1991, she came to know Jesus Christ and since then has been living a purposeful, meaningful and committed life. With a new life direction, she desired to be made available to help other people. This focus led her to continue her education and expand on ministry opportunities to serve. In 1997, she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University and, in 1999, graduated with a Master’s of Science Degree in Varying Exceptionalities from Nova Southeastern University. She has dedicated much of her life to prison related ministry work, Christian counseling and serving the special needs population. Ethel is also very passionate about the safety and welfare of children in today’s society. She advocates on their behalf through public speaking engagements, and also by supporting various organizations that aim to protect children from sexual predators. Ethel Clayton has worked for the United States Department of Justice, the Florida Department of Education and the Oklahoma State Department of Education. Aside from being an educator, she is a business owner and author. She currently resides in the Midwest with her wonderful husband, whom she is blessed to share her life with.
John 4:13-14 (NIV)
Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
