Dr. Carolyn J. Eckert is a vice principal at Calvary Christian Academy Philadelphia where she has served as a faculty member since 1996. At CCA, Dr. Eckert has worked as an elementary school teacher (4 years), middle & high school teacher (3 years), coach (15 years) and high school vice principal (13 years). Carolyn’s role as vice principal has afforded her the opportunity to express her passion for Christian education through such tasks as creating each year’s student & teacher schedules, planning teacher professional development opportunities, organizing and developing curriculum and project managing CCA’s accreditation oversight team.
Carolyn earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education (Elementary) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Bible from Philadelphia College of Bible in 1995. She continued her education at Rosemont College earning a Master of Science degree in Education (Educational Technology) in 2006. In 2014, Carolyn earned her Doctor of Education degree (School Administration) from Calvary Chapel University through the study of and written dissertation on the impact of iPads on students’ motivation to learn and overall achievement in the English classroom.
Dr. Eckert’s most joy-filled activities include thinking, learning, reading, writing, running and spending time with family & friends. Scripture and quotations are a favored and most impactful read as they lead to endless opportunities for thinking and learning.
