Pastor Jeff Christianson is the husband and father of a Christian family. He lives with his wife and four children in the Colorado Rocky Mountains where is the Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel Glenwood Springs and the Director of the Calvary Chapel Bible College’s Colorado Campus. Jeff is a Certified Educator with the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and a Certified Biblical Counselor, and on the Board of Directors, with the International Association of Biblical Counselors (IABC). Jeff graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Calvary Chapel Bible College and a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Theology with Faith Evangelical Seminary.
Jeff developed a passion for discipleship and biblical counseling while serving as Pastor Bob Hoekstra’s assisting pastor with Living in Christ Ministries (livinginchrist.org). Jeff was further discipled in the counseling ministry by Dr. Ed Bulkley (author of “Why Christians Can’t Trust Psychology”; iabc.net). Jeff continues to equip the saints for the work of the ministry (specifically, biblical counseling) through Calvary Chapel University.
My prayer for all who embark on this course of study is three-fold:
1. That each will be personally counseled by the Lord through any of His truth that appears within this course. We all need a word of counsel from the Lord periodically.
2. That each will be more fully equipped to be used of Him in counseling and discipling and personal ministry with others. We are all called upon time and again to give a word of counsel to a friend or church member.
3. That each will be effectively warned concerning the self- serving, man-centered thinking that is pouring into so- called Christian counseling through the wide-spread acceptance of psychological theory in the churches. We are all affected regularly by this subtle phenomenon.
May God bless you and direct you as you seek to bring Him glory!
