The Certificate of Christian Education is designed to prepare prospective and practicing Christian educators who are called by God to teach with a distinctly Christian approach. Credit earned may be applied toward an Associate of Arts or a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Learners are introduced to the fundamental elements of Christian education. They develop an understanding of the importance of a philosophy of Christian education and formulate a personal philosophy. Learners emerge with knowledge and understanding of a variety of teaching techniques and methods, and begin to develop skills to apply them. They understand the dynamics of interpersonal relationships. Learners also encounter leading educational issues and engage with peers in their critical consideration.
Courses feature theory firmly anchored to practice. Courses in the Certificate of Christian Education may be completed in any order.
